Kurt's father was remarried to a woman named Jenny she had already had two children to a prevous marriage named Mindy and James. When he was in eigth grade he joined the wrestling team and track team. he also recieved his first guitar that year from his aunt Mari. Kurt and his mother did not get along so he moved in with his friend Jesse Reed. They both loved music very much and would play their guitars together for hours. when they were nine-teen they got their first apartment they filled it with old furiture they had found in the garbage, they aslo had very little money between them. in 1988 Kurt and Chris (Kirst) formed a band with drummer Chad Channing. they were pretty popular in Seattle. In 1990 Kurt and Krist saw a band called scream after the show they asked the drummer to join them. he agreed and the final peice to Nirvana was final. Later on they signed with Geffen Records they became succseful almost over night with the album Nevermind. During a Eroupen tour with the band hole Kurt met Courtney they started talking on the phone almost every night and later that year Courtney and him were married on Feb. 24th 1992. Then that Aug. 18 their daughter Frances Bean was born. During the next two years Kurts addiction to herion grew rapdily. by 1994 he was using almost every day. On Nov. 19 1993 Nirvana played on MTV's Unplugged. Kurt was very nervous he felt that the kids weren't goin to like the show because they weren't playing any hits. He didn't have to worry though because it was a masterpeice. In march of 1994 Kurt was in Rome for a tour later on that night he was met by Courtney and Frances everything was goin well except that there was some tention between the two the next morning she awoke to fine him passed out on the floor with an empty blister pack of pills next to him and a note. He was rushed to a hospital near by there he layed in a coma when he recovered he saught helped a rehabe in Rome he flud two days later and flew back to seattle. A cupple weeks later he disapeared Courtney hired a private investagator and his mother took out a missing persons report. His house was searched but he wasn't found some time on April 5th Kurt was killed by a 20g shot gun. On April 8th an electriton installing a sercurity system saw wha the thought to be a manaquine but was to disccover it was indeed Kurt. The news was later broken to all of the fans. On April 10th a vigual was held for him in Seattle. Courtney read parts of the "suicide note" to the 7,000 greaving fans. In 1996 Frances Bean Cobain spread the rest of her father's ashes in Mc Lane creek there that should be Kurts final resting place. It is sad that Kurt is not still here with us but we still has him he lives on in his music and through all of us.
Jag Stang
This mutant Jaguar/Mustang hybrid was designed by Kurt in 1992 by sticking two sliced poloriods of each guitar together. It features a short 22- fret 24" scale, Mustang - type tailpiece, Japenese made Fender single - coil at neck, Fender humbucker at bridge ( each with three - way slidder switch ) and small gauge vinge - style frets.
Kurt's blue custom version used on the 'In Utero' tour, was slightly different from the commercial Jag Stang in that it featured a Fender Texas Special single coil at neck ( designed as a bridge pickup for Fenders Stevie Ray Vaughan model ) and a DiMarzion H-3 humbucker at the bridge. The Fiesta Red version is identical, but had not yet been delivered to Kurt when he died. it remains with Courtney Love, though has been mooted to feature in a planned Fender Museum.
Kurt reportedly requested a few modifications for the future Jag Stangs - more Strat - like forearm and body contours, even a more traditional Fender-esque outline - but as Fenders A and R man of the time, Mark Wittenberg, has also since died, it's unlikly these proposed changes will ever reach fruition

Fender Description
A collision of contemporary features fused together to create a radical NEW Fender guitar. Up until now, the JAG-STANG was a one of a kind Fender Custom Shop instrument that was played by only one artist. Fender has now elected to put the JAG-STANG into production with the same original specifications & high quality standards at an affordable price.
With a wide range of tone options, you can switch from a traditional vintage Stratocaster pickup located near the neck, to a fat, full range humbucking pickup positioned near the "floating" bridge. Each pickup has its own 3 position slide switch with the neck pickup switch featuring an "out of phase" mode. The 24" neck scale with 22 frets balances the guitar comfortably. The famous Fender "Dynamic" vibrato system adds versatility and lends itself to expanding the players imagination.

Letter to the Editor.
I thought I would let the world knwo how much I love people. I thought I would try to create somethingthat I would personally like to listen to. Because a very large portion of this worlds art sucks beyond description. Yet i feel that its a waste of time to pass judgement. and who the fuck am I to declare myself an authoruty whos certified, one who has the right of the people to critique. i guess in a way anyone with enough ambition to create and not take away is someone who deserves respect. There are those who are better at it than others. There are some who have severely large amounts of enthusiasm who are prolific as hell, spewing out a million products a year. Yeah products. There are ones whos usually give 10% good and 90% crap. Then there are those who spend years studying other peoples works because they dont have a chance in hell to produce anything with a hint of talent. Yeah talent. But like I said no one should be denied the priviledge to create and some people most certainly do not need the fear of whether their goods are better or worse and the best or worse. They can find that out for themselves.
On second thought maybe I just tried to let the world know how much I love myself. Like a hypocrite in a hippie crpyt.
I hate myself and i want to die. Leave me alone.
Love Kurt
"I choose to do drugs. I dont feel sorry for myself at all, but I have nothing good to say about them. They are a waste of time!"
"I have a problem with the average macho man. They've always been a threat to me."
"It upset me that er were attracting the people that a lot of my music has a reaction against."
" I had a really good childhood up until i was nine, than a classic case of divoce affected me."
"I'm a spokesperson for myself. it just happens to be there are a bunch of people that are concerned with what I say. I find it frightening at time, because I'm as confused as most people. I don't have the answers for everything. I don't want to be a fucking spokesperson."
"Maintaining the punk rock ethos is more important to me than anything."
We're so trendy we can't even escape ourselves."
